July will be a busy month for cruise ship calls in Falmouth with the visits planned of Nautica, Quest for Adventure, Saga Ruby and Minerva.
These cruise ships are sailing from Dover (London) and from Portsmouth, whilst on cruises around Britain or Northern Europe. They will be arriving in Falmouth between the 21st and 28th of July.
Many of the 2,130 passengerswill visit the town of Falmouth, which is a short walk from the Port facilities or they will visit a range of attractions in Cornwall which is the UK’s most popular holiday region and offers much variety to the visiting cruise passenger.
The calls have a positive impact on the local and regional economy bringing an estimated £85 spend per passenger. Passengers can walk into town to explore the National Maritime Museum, Fox Rosehill Gardens, the Princess Pavilion or Pendennis Castle and spend time shopping or visiting the many coffee shops and restaurants in the cobbled main street. Coaches are also laid on to take them further afield to see other major Cornish attractions, including the well-respected Eden Project.
As usual the passengers will be warmly greeted on the quayside by the Award-Winning Falmouth Cruise Ambassadors who volunteer to inform visitors how to make the most of their visit to the Port.
