Penny Brings Home Prestigious Award

Penny Phillips, Executive Assistant at A&P Falmouth, has picked up a prestigious award for her voluntary work as Chairman of The Mission to Seafarers, Falmouth.
The Merchant Navy Welfare Board’s  (MNWB) Annual Award for Services to Seafarers’ Welfare 2012 was awarded to Penny at a ceremony in Southampton during a Dinner at the MNWB’s Annual Conference.

Penny, who runs The Mission to Seafarer’s Flying Angel Centre in Falmouth, was nominated to receive the award for her work supporting and caring for visiting seafarers, and for assisting those who are hospitalised or abandoned.

She also reported back that A&P received warm commendation from the MNWB who hold the company up as an example of a “caring and responsible Dock authority” for its support of Falmouth Mission, where The Flying Angel Centre is located.
