The after-school Inter-House Squash Tournament held at the Falmouth Sports Club, was won by Falmouth School’s Trelawney House. This new event was sponsored by A&P Falmouth Ltd and the A&P Challenge Trophy was presented to the winning House by Peter Child the Managing Director.
The project hopes to raise awareness of squash as the governing body England Squash and Racketball hope to have the sport included in the 2020 Olympics. Jem Wallis Head of PE and Sport at Falmouth School said ‘We are very grateful to Falmouth Sports Club & A&P Falmouth for all their support. We hope to extend this initiative to other clubs and sports in Falmouth. The 530 students accessing a new sport has been a really positive experience and the students now have a secure pathway into the sport of squash in Falmouth.”
