A&P Falmouth played host to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 22 June, when over 2,250 people visited RFA Lyme Bay and HMS Tyne as part of the Town’s tribute to Britain’s Armed Forces. Free ferries were laid on between Prince of Wales Pier and The Docks and queues formed quickly, three and sometimes four ferries were making the trip to keep up with demand. Sadly the Battle of Britain Memorial flight had to be cancelled due to bad weather, but there was still plenty to see and do around Falmouth. A&P Falmouth also sponsored the Veterans’ Reception held at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, which followed a performance from Military Wives Choir and a concert by the Royal Marine Band.
