A&P Director, Gerald Pitts, met with the US Embassy Attaché, Kathryn Crockart from the London Embassy’s Team Cornwall, when she visited Cornwall yesterday.
The visit was hosted by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, and gave 20 companies based in Cornwall the opportunity to meet the Attaché during the day, culminating in a one-to-one with Gerald Pitts, Director at A&P Falmouth’s shipyard.
During the meeting, Gerald explained the A&P Group’s long term ‘Through Life Support’ contract with the Ministry Of Defence to maintain RFA vessels, and how this had led to them using a partner yard in the United States using the Global Reach Agreement. The possibility of future business in America was also on the agenda and the meeting concluded with Gerald presenting the Attaché with a Company plaque and the 150th Anniversary book, Sailing Ship to Superliner, which charts A&P Falmouth’s history.
